Where do I go from here?

After only 2.5 months of writing, my book is done. All chapters are edited and posted and can be found right here. I'm still amazed I was able to do it, but I did... there's the proof. When I started writing it I just felt like it had to be written. I would lay down at night and words just started flying through my head. I couldn't sleep until things were written down. The story was screaming at me to be told.

You're stronger than you think

Anyone that's been following this blog for a while knows that I've been working on a memoir. Well, I am happy to say that the first draft is complete and has been read by a few friends. After receiving some amazing feedback from people (thank you!), I decided to make the writing a little more proactive. I came across a website that allows you to write, edit, and share chapters of a work as you're completing it. I thought this could be a great way to get my voice out there for more people while also giving me control over what is released and when.

The upside of isolation

It's been about 5 months since everything shut down and in that time I've done a lot of thinking. Some good, some bad, some positive, some negative, but all in all useful in some way. When you have nothing to do but sit with your thoughts, it really gives you a sense of who you are and how you're doing. Are you coping or just getting by? Are you thinking clearly or being erratic? Was that text you sent needed or could it have been avoided?
